Ever heard of people under AP not making it because of the cut off date?

Was curious to know if someone has actually lost their chance because they reached 30 the of September before the AP was done? Do they take any special measures to speed things up for people still being processed close to the cut off date? Thanks.

I think that MUST have happened!
 
YES.
I blv it happens EVERY year to scores of ppl, especially for those in big winner countries who become current late in the FY.

The heart wrenching stories are seldom reported in these forums or elsewhere. (west African forums would vouch for this).
In 2011 in Ghana this aspect was widely reported in press, but I am sure it happens every year.(if i recall, it was reported at that time to have affected ~200 ppl there!!)

That makes sense. Some countries are more likely to have AP cases so there would be more cases there. I can't begin to imagine how that would feel....
