The lady seemed to be in prison in China for long enough
to break continuous residence but did not lose her
GC. Now even with a conviction for stealing tech for
China, prosecutor say deportation is not likely.
The key is to be a dissident (even maybe a faked one)
agaisnt your own home country US happen to oppose
so that you will have enough support from many
congresmen therefore you can be above US own
law. I once mentioned that a PR dissident used a fake
US passport to enter his home country. Many people
here say that guy will be in big trouble when he
come back to USA for using other's US passport.
This is horsefeathers. Many US congressmen
are even asking US government to get that guy back
as hero.
