Evaluate my NIW case.

Dear friends, I am about to file for NIW.
Here is my situation:

1. working in defense related research;
2. two journal papers and 15 conference papers;
3. 8 reference letters, including one from airforce research lab, one from naval research center. (but none of them can use official letterhead).

I learned from this forum that citation is
important to show the impact of my
research. Unfortunately, I can not find a single citiation by using standard citation
search engine like ISI.
So I do the job myself via google.
I do find more than 10 papers (some are
in top journals) citing my papers. My question is : will INS acknowledge this?

Any comment is appreciated.

- use keyword search (well, your research must have some special words and better not hot, otherwise, you will spend tons of time)

- check relevant people's websites.

You should simply make the copies and include them in your file.

I think you have a case here. When I got my RFE, I got a letter from DARPA, which was not printed on official letterhead, and it worked. I do not know who the sponsor is for your research projects. You'd better get a letter from there. When I submitted my original package, I had a letter from Naval Research Lab, who was our research partner. But INS explicitely asked for a letter from the funding agency to describe my work.

Thanks for all your replys.
My research sponsor is Airforce Research Lab.
The guy who sponsors us is also an adjunct prof. in
the Univ. where I am doing research.
His boss will not allow him to use the DOD letter head,
so he used the Univ. letter head instead.

Although he metioned his airforce title in the letter,
I think the Univ. letter head will makes things
worse than no letter head.
