Hi,

My number is EU 72xx for the DV 2006.
I am not sure if i had to send my application for AOS soon after Oct. 1st, or do I have to wait till the cut-off date for my number comes up. I was advised that my cut-off date might be around january. ??

Also in the docs i got, it says that i will have to pay the fee to the Dept. Of State after the USCIS approves my case. Does that mean that i have to wait till they accept my application or do i have to send the payment now??

Do i have to get the approval before i send my application or do i have get the approval once they get my application?

Hi,

I just called KCC and they were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, they had bad news for me - you can apply for AOS only when your number becomes available and I really needed that work permit :( ...

They told me that you can even apply when you see on the bulletin that it is getting closer, in my case, 2006EU12***, when 11000 appears, becouse it takes awile in Chicago to even look at your papers.
