Eternal Question - OCI and Surrender Certificate together

Can we apply for OCI and Surrender Certificate together in SFO consulate? I have read on forums where people have done serially (SC and then OCI) and only few had success with doing both of them together (like old dude..)

Anyone with recent experience in 4Q of 2010 or in 2011.

I sent an email to SFO from their web site.

Got a reply from Renunciation/Surrender (rcsc@cgisf.org)
The reply was a FAQ document that said yes.


Can I apply Surrender Certificate along with my PIO and OCI application?

Ans: Yes

I did receive that automated email as well ... but people's experience has been to the contrary .. hence checking with recent applicants .. the following is what I received..
