ETA (expected time of approval) for !-485

Guys: NSC is processing I-485's from 08/2001 which means that it is taking 24 months for this? So all us who filed in 2003 should be hearing only in 2005?? Comments invited.

I just checked the online status for my AP, EAD and 485 this morning and got a pleasant surprise that my EAD is approved. It was processed exactly at 60 days as mentioned in my receipt notice. That made me to calculate the exptected date for 485 which came to 12/22/2004 to 1/21/2005.

Hope to get it on or before 12/24/2004.

My application has been pending since 12/18/01. I am assuming it will take at least 24 months. That's just my guess since BCIS is unpredictable. My personal advice to you is to prepare yourself for a 24 month wait. The situation may change and you may get an approval sooner, in which case you'll be pleasantly surprise.

When I first applied, the wait time was ~400 days. It then switched to 18 months. Now it's 24 months.

Do you mind sharing if you apply based on EB2 or EB3 or something else?

My ND for 140/AP/485 is 5/9/03 at NSC and I checked my online status and the response is the same as stated in the receipt letter.

Mine is EB2. I485/AP/EAD ND 5/22/03. EAD approved on 7/21/03 as per online msg. I haven't recd the card yet. Mine is NOT concurrent filing.

EB2/EB3 doesn't matter in I-485.

I think my 485 will also take 24 months. So, I am looking at my date of approval of my I-485 sometime in 09/2004, if I'm lucky. Till then wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait
