Hi,
I arrived in the US on the 15th of June,2008 on L2 visa(my spouse is on L1). I had applied for EAD with California center by mail on the 27th of June,2008 and got a receipt for the same on the 4th of July,2008. Now the issue is that they have sent a receipt with my first name as 'NO NAME GIVEN'. I called them to get it corrected on the 7th of July,2008 but the representative then said that I would be receiving a confirmation for the same in 45 days time
Im now concerned about 2 things.
1. Would the time that it might take to get my EAD increase by 45 days and
2. Where did they get this 'NO NAME GIVEN' from? My I765 has the right name with it. A couple of my husbands colleagues faced similar issues when they applied for the SSN. Since I had given my I94 number, did they get these details from there? If so, wl I be facing the same problem when I apply for my SSN too?
Has anyone faced similar issues?
