Error on EAD card

I applied EAD for my wife. After NSC asked further documents, it got approved from PO Box 82521, not from the applied box 87765. Then we found NSC made mistake on expire date. The card should expire on 01/03/07, but they put 01/03/06 by mistake. After calling 1-800 number, they asked me to fill a replacement I-765 form and mail back the error card to where it was sent out (P. O. Box 82521). I am worry about it will delay in the replacement. As I ckecked the NSC website, they said mailbox 82521 is special for response for further documents. Does any friend have experience in changing error card? How long will it take to get new card? Many thanks for your kind input!
 
Ha! I had the same experience before, wrong expiration on EAD. My attorney corrected for me, I remember he sent a urgent service request to USCIS. After one month time, I receive the correct card.

I am in VSC, nit sure on the mailbox information for NSC. But as long as you sent the request agin you will be fine, do not worry too much!

My wife is in the same situation. We sent new 1-765 and new card back, but no response. We called. They have got everything back but didi not atc yet. They say: Wait 90 days.
she obtained interrim card, but we want new corrected card.

Chiron, what excactly your lawyer sent to USCIS?

I am not sure exactly what documents my lawyer has sent out. I just got a notice from lawyer said that an urgent correction request has been sent out. I do not remember that we sent back the wrong EAD cards.

BTW, I am in VSC.

Many thanks for sharing information! I sent back by express last Wednesday. I also put note: Error on case LINXXX on the outside. On Jan 18, I got LUD as the following: On January 18, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready. No email was sent. But when I call 800, I got the similar LUD. I am not sure that they are really correcting it or not.

Akatu: can you please share more information about your wife's case? I will keep you posted if I got sth new. Thanks
 
I am going to call USCIS after 90 days will laps from the date they recieved new/bad card back.
BTW local office gave interim card with no problem on 90th day from original filing date.
 
Can you please tell me how did you get interim card? I went to the local office, they said they couldn't do anything. Thanks.
 
Ok.
go on USCIS website. Click on Infopass, find your local office then follow instructions. after 90 days beyond your RN they should issue interim card period. Prepare new I-765 when your go to local office, it will save time.

Thank you, akatu! The RN just passed two months. I did try Infopass to local, but they said they couldn't do anything. When I called 800, I was told that my wife can start work with the new recepit (suppose they will send us a new recepit). But we haven't get the recepit. Did your wife get the recepit? Also did they change the case number or list sth in the recepit?

Someone told me that we can apply EAD through the local office. Maybe it will be fast and safe. Did any friend try this way? I appreciate if you could share your experience.

no, we did not get any new receipt. for infopass we used the same old receipt with the original case number.
