Error in RD at California CIS

Hi,
My I-140/I-485 NIW-GC case forms reached California CIS on Friday, September 30, 2005 (Postal Service receipt clearly shows that).
However, seems that CIS opened the package on Monday and put the RD as October 3, 2005, ND as October 13, '05, thus putting my application in the retrogressed category.

My laywer has written to them to try to correct this, but no response yet.

Has anyone else had this problem? Will appreciate any feedback and/or news.

P.S.: Receipt notice provided a 1-800 number to call to set up appointment for fingerprinting, though I have not recd. a separate specific notice for FP. Some other people asked this question and were referred to "Josie's" posting under "I-485 issues" forum. I couldn't find that posting so would be great if someone could answer this question here.
 
did they cash your 485 fee?, have they provided a Receipt for 485?, if yes to these then u dont have to worry, your application has been accepted.

I'm not sure whether they cashed the checks or not since I paid the lawyer a lump sum amount and the lawyer must have written out individual checks for each of the forms sent.

However, I have been issued receipt notices for all the forms: I-140, I-485, I-765 and AP. Each form has a receipt number, received date, notice date but no priority date. Also, the forms mentions that the fee for the form has been received.

Does that mean that the application has been accepted and it is not retrogressed for me?

....Your application has been accepted, means u can get work authorization, travel document...But ur application won't be processed till ur priority date becomes current!
