Friends,

These days you are paroled in only for one year when you enter the country with AP. What action does the parolee needs to take when the parole end date is nearing? i.e. how do you get a new I-94?

As I understand parole end date is different from AP document end date and that you need to renew AP only when you are planning to travel outside the country.

Thanks,
BR

"...you need to renew AP only when you are planning to travel outside the country."

Right.

You don't need to get new I-94. When your H1B expired
your I-94 expired also, so if you wouldn't travel, you wouldn't get
new I-94. And this is OK.
My visa expired also, I used AP few days ago and they gave me
new i-94 valid till 2004.

Robi,

I also used my AP to get in the country and got the I-94 valid till Dec 2003. But how will I renew the I-94 when time comes. As I understand you need to have a valid I-94 all the time.

Thanks,
BR

No, you don't need, when you submit I-485.
Think, when your visa expired, the I-94 also.
If you wouldn't go abroad you would never get new I-94
anyway. And you would still be OK.

one year I94 is new rule when u come back only. a person get AP only when his 485 is pending . when 485 is pending you are always in status it does't matter even if your I94 expries after 1 yr. you can renew your AP and go out again and then again you will get new I94. No action is needed if you stay in US with expired I94 which was issused when u used AP.
