Entry to USA on H1-B visa

Hi

I recently recieved my H-1B visa stamp from Madras consulate with a initial expiry of FEB 2003. Since the current situation for Job market in USA is not good, I would like to know the following:

1. Is there a stipulated time period before which I have to travel to USA.
2. I heard I have to travel within 6 months of receiving H1B visa. Is this
   true.
3. I prefer to travel to USA during the month of June or July 2002. Is
   this okay.

You response will be of great help.

Travel within 6 months but only if you have a job

Congratulations on getting your visa!!
You have to travel within 6 months - but do so only if you have a job in the US. Its tough to survive otherwise.
