I lost my job January 13th,2025 while on a TN visa. The 60 days grace period will end on March 13th, 2025. I continuously worked with the same employer from 03/20/23 to 01/13/25. While preparing to submit I-539, we discovered that our last entry was B-2 instead of TN (myself) and TD (family).
On December 12, 2023 (our last entry to the US) all 4 of our family moved to the US from Canada, which was supposed to be TN (myself) and TD (family). I was not aware that we entered as B2 status. Seems the immigration authority in Toronto airport put this by mistake. I did not receive any other TN from my employer. I checked my family members status, their last entry also as B-2 on December 12, 2023, please see the attached.
Two things that need to be resolved:
1. Last entry with B2 instead of TN or TD on December, 2023.
2. The 60 days grace period will end on March 13th, 2025.
Appreciate if you can help me regarding what needs to be done in this situation.
