Entering with 551 stamp

Has anyone returned recently with the 551 stamp on the passport? Are you able to go through the US Citizens/Residents line? Do you have to go through secondary inspection?

I'm asking because I keep reading conflicting information. I'll be traveling through LAX or SF.

I recently returned via Detroit. No problem traveling on the stamp whatsoever. Yes, you'll need to go through the regular citizen line. They will ask some standard questions, how long you were out of the country, etc., and then stamp your passport.

My spouse was sent to secondary inspection but only because she was entering on AP.
