Entering US with EAD/AP - what do they ask for?

If you have a pending I-485 application, a valid EAD card and Advanced Parole what happens when you try to enter the US? In particular:

1-What does the immigration officer ask you after you get off the plane? Does s/he ask what company you work for?

2-What documents do they ask for aside from the AP and the corresponding I-797 receipt? Any letters of employment or company business card/stationary?

3-What if you are not working at the moment but have a valid EAD card? Should you say that you are currently not working and looking for a job, or should you mention the name of your previous company?

Thanks.

1. No. They might, but it's not a rule that they should.
2. IIRC, I just showed my AP doc and passport. No need for EAD or 485 receipt.
3. No need. They won't ask. If they do, and you're out of a job, just say so. I don't think this is a big deal.
This is based on my experience and general observation. Usually they'll check your AP and wave you in, that's all.

Great, thanks NJ, that makes me feel a little less tense :-)

Just in case - has anyone had a different experience?

When my wife travelled using AP while returning they asked for the name of the company I worked for ,her ID while leaving and entering and my full name.
