I have a valid H1B till the 15th Sep 06 and my company has filed for an extension on Jun 14th 06.
The approval of my extension should come around 14th Sep 06 most probably.
I had to travel back to India in July. Now I intend to re-enter the US by Sep 1st 06. My current visa would be valid only for another 15 days. Can I continue to stay in the US even after the expiry of my visa i.e, after 15th september, based on the acknowledgement for the H1 extension or if the approval of my extension comes through by then and get the stamping done later? I intend to stay for atleast 3 months before I leave the US again.
