Entering US while awaiting waiver

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible for me to enter the US on a visitor visa while waiting for my J1 waiver? I was in the US on a J1 and returned to my home country without applying for a waiver. Does the waiver exempt me from entering the US only on immigrant visas?

I don't think it will prevent you from entering US with a visitor visa. Because when the waiver is processing, it has no result now. So on your file with USCIS there should be no indication.
Just guessing. No experience.
