Entering the US, husband and wife...

Dear friends,

I have one general question. Lets say the wife is the DV winner (the petitioner). If the CP goes smooth and both the husband and wife get the visa, must they enter to the US together or is it possible to go in different times (of course within the 6 month visa validity time frame)?

Thank you in advance...

If the wife is the primary applicant (the winner), then her husband and children have to immigrate to the US either together with the wife/mother or afterwards. They cannot immigrate before the primary applicant.

Yes, that is my concern. On the application form sent to KCC, if the wife filled as the family accomanying her to the US, they may require to enter the US together. There is another option on the form saying that the family mambers will join her in the US later.

Any more experience?

Hi, in my situation, on the forms we indicated that we would be travelling together, however, after receiving the visas and thinking things over we decided that my husband (the principal applicant) would go first and I would join him later.

My husband is now in the US and I will be joining him in a few months. It is not a problem.
