Enter US/ perm application

Hello,

my perm application was filed in February 2008 and I'm in the audid queue. I applied from ouside the US. It seems so that it could take some more month till it get's the final processing :(. Now I'm invited to celebrate a wedding in the US. Can I enter the US without a delay or disadvantage of the perm process?
 
Since you have demonstrated immigrant intent, it will likely be difficult for you to gain visa and entrance as a "visitor" since that requires that the visitor not have immigrant intent.
