Enquiry at VSC

I called VSC on 05/04 . I was told that everything is ready on my case and it is just waiting for some officer to pick it up. Nothing changed on my case so far. When we call VSC, will they send any letter to me ? Since I used my EAC number to enquiry, Can my wife call and enquire about her status ? I have seen in some threads that we should not call within 60 days? Pl. advise me on this

I think nobody can give you a concrete answer regarding this unless he or she is working for VSC. You must try it at your own risk.

In my understanding, you can call them again within 60 days if you have strong reason to do so. Side effect ? nobody can be sure about it.

Some people on this board have claimed that once you get thru their system and talk to IIO in VSC, they didn't have your infomation (EAC#..etc..) initially, they need to ask about it. But they do log why and when you made that call.

Making a call doesn't trigger them to send you a notice/letter automatically. it depends on what your request is.

Again, call them when you really need it and try not to do it overhead.
 
I would suggest wait for a month atleast ..

and then maybe try calling your wife's EAC if you didn't ask for its status the earlier time.
 
Do you mind posting from which state your labor/I-140/I-485 was filed. Looking at your signature, you should have received your GC by now. I am not sure why your case is pending if everything is fine with your case.

I tried to call the USCIS this week. I did my FP in March and did not have my Profile updated on the web with a message of FP received.

Since it was not updated, lot of people complain about name check. I am/was concerned regarding the same and wanted to verify if all the checks are completed. I did not get a straight answer but she said thatmy case is waiting for VISA NUmber Availability.

DId you try to verify anything like that and what response did you receive.

Hi,

I have filed my I-485 form NH state. i did ask the customer Rep that my name checks are done or not. she said YES. I am not sure why my GC is approved yet.
