guys any idea when does USCIS encash the cheques for EAD/AP, beginning of last week my company send it to BCIS via next day airborne, so technically it is almost 1 week they have rcvd the same, still they havenot encashed the cheque. This is the 3 rd time I applied, kinda forgot how much it took in the last 2 times. need help. next year 4th EAD. then 5th and the saga continues:mad:

After u accumulate 5 EADs u can exchange them directly for a Green Card....:)

This GC ordeal sucks man...... Hope they pick up things in the next month (Beginning of the new fiscal year)

Dukhiman,

You should take at least 15 business days for the checks to get encashed. In my case they were encashed in a month's time. Strangely I have my I-140 receipt but it is check hass not been encashed so far. Although the other check was also sent together in the same package but only one check got encashed. My lawyer says as long as I have the case nos, nothing to worry

Strange as it may seem but there is a definite trend in BCIS not encashing checks or sending receipt notices for 2nd time or later applicants for EAD/APs. This makes one to assume that such cases may be getting approved pretty soon and hence the reason for BCIS to not process such cases.
So guys just hang in there and pretty soon good news will dawn upon you.

Though your application was sent a week back, it could be still in VSC mail centre, not opened yet. Mail gets sorted and checked for all documents, and if everything is OK, I guess the check would be deposited and other docs sent to be entered onto the system.

So it just depends on the mailroom volume as well as the efficiency of the person checking stuffs etc..! But oflate, in 10-15 days your check should be encashed and entered into the system.

sent my EAD renewal (1st renewal) on Aug'28 2003,
got the receipt with ND: Sep'08 2003
the checks were cashed on Sep'08 2003
