has anyone changed jobs from being an individual contributor to manager in the same dept, same company, with the same set of technologies etc.? the title will probably change to be "eng mgr" or something like that and there will be staff reporting to me. but all the underlying knowledge / skills required is the same. my aec is broad but was filed as an engineer so no management reponsibilities outlined.
do i have to use ac21 for this and do i need to notify bcis?
if it does, should i notify bcis right away or wait for an rfe.
any success stories / insights? please share.
