The move for reorganization of the INS is in full swing in the Nation\'s Capital circle. There have been a number of legislative or administrative proposals in the past, including the INS\' own proposal which is posted here. The INS+Customs Service merger plan which we reported yesterday now gives a new direction to such move.
The morale of the INS employees must have dropped to the lowest level at this time because of the on-going public and political criticism of the agency relating to the Atta blunder and growing uncertainty of their job security and uncertainty relating to the political move of reorganization of immigration business within the government.
They are all hard working and innocent people just like anyone else. Their morale should be somehow boosted. Let\'s give them a big "Thank You" for their public services and send them encouragements. They deserve it!
