 Hi All,

I need you help urgently. My company is filing for my green card and Employment verification letter will be required for supporting the experience shown on the forms. My problem is that my past company is extremely unhelpful and are not giving any letter to me. What are my alternatives that can be used for GC filing? How big a risk is if I do NOT succeed in getting the experience letter ultimately.

Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I am sure you can get a standard employment letter (Dates of service and title etc.) from your company. You can take that and get another letter from any of your Ex-colleagues (Ex-superior even better) who is no longer with the company and request them to give the letter on their new company letterhead. This second letter can have detailed description of your experience. I think these two letters combined should do the job.
