Here is my situaton,

Worked with Desi Consultany Firm at various clients and different countries such as India , Germany and US (currently from past 3 yrs).

I didnot get the experience letter from them as I had not given past employer sufficient notice .

I have read on this forum a former colleague can sign affadavit as my EVL.

I have few questions related to this,

1) Does the former colleague has to be working with my Past Employer
currently when signing the affadavit ?

2) As I have worked with various colleagues at various location within and
outside US, which colleagues should be considered,
example,
a) I can have colleague who has been working with same Desi Consultancy
with me for several but at different client locations or different country
b) I can have colleague who has been working with same Desi Consultancy
at my client locations but knows me say only from past 2 yrs out of my
say 5 yrs of work experience i.e I could have joined the Desi
Consultancy say in 1999 but colleague has joined the same Desi
Consultancy in 2002 can such colleague sign the affadavit.

All your inputs/insights are appreciated.

I took one letter from my friend, he is in Oman. He worked with me in the company no more in business. Its name was ITS. I was sr. manager and he was Analyst Programmer. To make this letter authentic I just get it notorized.
On this letter I mentioned the contact # of my friend. Thats it.
USCIS contacts the person or not, beyond to say.
My I40 approved last month.
