Employment questions

I’ve been working for the same company who sponsored my GC to present.
The company has many business units and we reorganized/relocated many times.
Even I did not change my job, the Employer (business unit) on my paycheck changed three times, also the location.
The current Employer on my paycheck is not the Eomployer when I applied GC.
I’m not sure what should I put in the Employment.

Should I just put the company’s name and current location (since all business units under the same company)?

Should I put “company/business unit (employer in paycheck)” for each employer on my paycheck?

Even worked in the same business unit, we relocated times. Should I list each location?

Thank you for your inputs.

IMO, your current employment is what you should put in the form. I have not read any case where they asked for paycheck and verified that with anything else. If they want to call your employer for verification, current information is the valid one anyway.

My company changed name after my GC. I listed current name and address. Did not metion old name anywhere and did not have any problem.

Hope that helps.

N400ATl, thank your for your reply.
I probably will list the company name (because all business units are under it), and bring an Employer letter to the interview.
Thanks again

Yeah, if you want proof, just bring a letter from your employer that says, NyCool has been in our employ since XXX yy, ZZZZ. The details are unimportant.

I always have filled out the current name of my employer and requested a Letter of Employment which happens to carry the current name of my employer. This keeps everything simple.

There are three different employers (different business units) on my 5 year w-2 forms even I’ve been working for the same company. It seems listing the parent company’s name and bring an employer letter is the simplest way that won’t complicate the situation.

This forum is very helpful. Many thanks to everyone!
