All,
I apologize if my questions have been posted already but I'm in a pickle and would appreciate responses. I want to apply for an EB1 and here's my situation: I work as a post-doctoral research associate ( it's been 2.5 years since I graduated ) at an University and my contract ends in December. I believe I have a shot at EB1 based on my CV and qualifications. However,
- I might be able to get an employment letter saying that I have a full time position but I cannot get one with the word "permanent" in it. Will that raise a flag on my EB1 application?
- If things go well, I will be joining a private company (non-research, for-profit) organization this October and will work for them on an H1-B visa. So if I cannot get an employment letter from my current job at the University with the word "permanent" in it, is it better to wait till October and ask the company to file for EB1?
- Can employees working for a private,non-research, for-profit organization file for an EB1?
Thanks
