employment letter

Hi

In the CP - Employment letter do we have to mention about the Current salary drawn ? The reason I'm asking this because my salary is 25% more than the one stated in my Labor certification. My job duties and title are the same. I was worrying whether if I mention the current salary it would create any problem. Is it okay to get the emplyement letter stating that I will be paid the salary mentioned in my labor certification after my GC instead of specifying the numbers..

Please post your comments........

Thank you

In theory the employment letter can be very dry and just state
that they are confirming all the conditions of the LC and the subsequent petition.

On the other side of the spectrum we have seen letters listing
the current salary, the job title, the job responsibilities, permanent nature of the job, salary to be paid and so on.

In your case I would think there is no harm in stating your current salary and also mention the same figure as the one you will be
paid once you get your IV.

There is no problem when the current salary is more than the
salary mentioned in the LC. There is no need to explain this.
If necessary it can be explained as natural progression.

Just think about it, it may look funny to the consular officer if he
notices that you are drawing $ 100 K now, and the letter says
you will be paid $ 75 K after getting your IV.

So, take a letter stating your current salary.

Raju,

Thanks for your comment. I also checked with my lawyer today he also said the same.

Wish you all the best for your CP interview.

Thanks,
