Employment letter - Please reply today.

Hello,
  
    What does "notarized employment letter" mean. Does it mean that my HR manager\'s (who is giving me the original employment letter) signatures need to be notarized on the original letter OR does it mean that I need to get the photocopies of the employment letter notarized. Please reply soon as today is my last day before I leave for India.

Take the original to a bank which has notaries.
They will ask for some ID and put a sign and seal on the
original. Take copies of that.
