I have been a PR for approx 8 months.
I was placed at the client site by a third company(Company B) through the company that got me my GC(Company A).
I am planning to leave my company, join another company(Company X) who will place me at the same client site . The reason they can do that is because the third company(company B) is no more a preferred vendor. So client cannot/or have the right not to renew their contract and they can employ contractors from these companies w/o breaking any rules
I had signed a non-compete with Company A which basically said I cannot work for the Company B, or its clients. Company A does not want to let me go because they feel it be a loss of income for them. Is it something they can sue me for?(BTW they earned a lot on me because they gave me raise just twice :-( , broke agreements regarding benefits )
Also I am not joing the Client, but Company X which may place me at the client site.
Currently I am based in Florida
Your input in this matter will be extremely helpful
Thanks
Jay
(I am also planing to talk to an employment lawyer)
