Employment Authorization for H4 Visa Holders

Hello,

Some time back a law was passed that allowed dependents of L1 visa holders (L2 visa holders) to get work permit and they were eligible to work in US.

Someone told me that similar law is in process of being passed for dependents of H1 visa holders (H4 visa holders). Does any know if this is true or is it just a rumour?

Untrue as far as I know. Even if there were a proposed bill, I think it's probability of passing would be very low. Every year there are many bills proposed that have almost no chance of ever becoming law.
