Hi Friends,

I am not sure if this is the right place, but let me shoot a question.

Can a foreign company sponsor green card? What I mean by foreign company is, they have a subsidiary in the U.S. as a standard corporation, and 51% or more of their stock are owned by their headquarters outside the U.S.. What I have heard so far is that the sponsoring company must be owned by U.S. citizens (or at least 51% of stock is owned by U.S. citizens).

I know foreign companies can sponder L visa holders green card, but not sure if they can sponsor H1 holders green card.

Thanks for your help.

Foreign company can sponsor for green card through employment as long as they are in legitimate business and financially stable.

I currently work for regional office (in NY) of the company based in UK and they have done many H1-B as well as GC in last couple of years.
