I have recently got my Visa status changed from J2 to H1 (Academic University). My employer gave me a copy of my new I-94 and H1 Approval notice. My employer is telling me that when I will travel outside the USA at that time I will get the original I-94 till than I have to keep the copy of my I-94 in my passport. I wanted to know if this is the way or my employer is not familiar with the process and I should get the original I-94 now.
