Employer Not Giving Case Number

Hi Folks,

I need some advise here. I have 2 cases pending - one at BEC and one PERM. My employer is not letting me view the status online for PERM. He's also not giving me my new case number issued after the 45 day letter was received. He says not to worry about anything and he will inform me about any approvals or denials. I have 2 fears, one, if my case gets approved what if he uses it for someone else without me knowing. Second, shouldn't I be kept in the loop for any inquiries / correspondence from the DOL??

Please advise.

Ridiculous

Rocky,

I know how you must feel but it would be difficult for me to trust someone like this going forward. Keep your options open. Though affected by retro I am able to contact my company lawyers and request any explanation I need.

Though you have not mentioned how big your company is ? Sounds like it must be a company with very few employees.

Good Luck.

any other guys having the same problem?

my company has around 250 employees. please let me know if anyone of you has the same problem that you are not allowed to check PERM status online and/or not allowed to discuss your BEC case with the attorney? any input will highly appreciated.

I know that once an I-140 is approved you must receive a courtesy copy from the INS. It is the same Notice of Action ( I believe I-797 ) form that we receive when an H1 is approved but it states specifically that this I-140 case has been approved and whether the beneficiary is able to file for I-485 or not at the time of I-140 approval.

In my case I received this copy of I-140 approval ( that I am entitled to ) through my company lawyer.

If you are talking abt your labor, you can call Service center directly, and get the status on your labor. They will ask your company name, your name. Take the case# number from them. This can only happen for your normal Labor not for PERM.

phone number?

Thanks for the info. Please tell me the phone number of Dallas BEC where i can call to check the status of my RIR application. Is there anyway by calling the Dallas BEC can I get the case number by giving them my info?
