My NIW-based I-140 was approved and now I'm filing for I-485. To my understanding, I don't need to submit the employer letter because no job offer is required for NIW. But my attorney asked me to get it anyway. Is that really necessary? I work for a big company and I'll have to go through quite some bureaucracy to get the letter, which may be time-consuming and hence delay my application. So I try to avoid it. Can anybody share your experience and opinion? Thanks in advance.
