Employer In Troubled Waters !!!!!

Folks,

My employer is going through a pretty tight phase, and frankly, we (employees) are not really sure of what is going to happen. Currently, I am the only person in the active payroll of the company who is scheduled to go for the CP interview (Nov. 21, 2002)

My HR is going to issue the employement letter and they have said that there will be no trouble an the company will turn back.... etc...

My questions here are:

1. Pray to God this doesn't happen, but, what if I am forced to change employers in this period?? What are my options? I have other people/companies that are ready to sponsor my H-1 in the meantime, but I am hoping to complete this whole process through one employer.

2. What if the employer goes down during the period that I am in India for the interview? Do they verify status of the employer during the interview? at the time pOE?

I would really appreciate your inputs. Please send a mail to
PK

Thanks
Prakash

hi
If your interview is on nov 21, 2002 take your chance with this company.
I would start preparing for examples getting my letters from hr etc

Hi Prakash,

Sorry for your situation.

I would suggest that you start collecting all documentation, that is required from your lawyers and your company HR. Only if the company is going to inform US consulate (of your job being eliminated) will there be a problem for you.
But it seems that you have good relations with your company... so you should not have any problems.....

When are you planning on leaving US for the interview?
Do that at the earliest, so that HR cannot refuse to give you employment letters etc....

ALL THE BEST and hope things go well for you.
