I just heard of a company that has come up a with a new policy that they will not pay for the I-140,I-485 process but will deduct from the employee's salary for 18 mths.At 18 mth point, they will reimburse. If employee leaves before that point, they are responsible for entire fees.
Is this legal? They are paying for LC but not for anything else.
Before this, they were paying for GC for eligible employees.
This is a large well known consulting firm....
I thought there was a new law in place to prevent this type of abuse.
