This is chakrvarthi. I am on H1b. my employer have its own website and they have their company email address, but they never use their company emails. They always answer through hotmail. When we ask something about company they will replay through hotmail.

My question is, if i need to file a case against my employer does that e-mails will consider as proof? (Means is Department of labor or IRS will consider as proof?)

You could sure file a case even if your employer responds through hotmail or any other. Header information of the mail will contain from which computer system/Service the information is coming from. That's the link. Email address is not the important thing. I can email you with the email address whatever you want. That's how mass email spam works. Hope this answers your question.
