Thanks for the information , visa has expired out of status and I know I can't use that to travel , what other options do I have ?

From the little details from your post, I would think that visa being expired has nothing to do with status. If you have filed 485 or if you are working in the same position where you got the visa for, you should be fine.
You might need a visa if you leave and cross the oceans and then want to come back.
