emergency travel to COP

Hello guys-

I am PR based on asylum, and now I'm holding a re-entry permit. Since my father is having health problem lately, I was wondering what will happen to my status here in the United States if I make an emergency travel to my COP.
Do I need to apply for a special emergency travel permit?
Any advice is going to be appreciated.

You don't need any special permit. RP is fine. You should just be able to explain yourself at the Port of entry upon return to the US why you traveled back to COP if asked. If you were making leisure trips, that would have been a different story.

what is the officers from COP are going to ask me questions about my status in the united states?

I came back on June 05th and I gave officer my GC. He asked me how long I was gone for and nature of my visit and what countries. He stamped my RTD without looking at it or even scanning it.

I think they will start to Fingerprint Green Card holders starting from August 28th so I will let you know what happens when I return on Sep 05th. I am going to Germany on August 30th.

I don't understand why are you using RTD instead of RP since you are PR. I am planning to travel to Italy at the end of November, and my lawyer applied for RP. Is there a difference?
Anyway, I am worried to cross the border in COP. In other words, can they stop me to return to US?

Because I only travel to Germany & Germany doesn't require a visa on RTD. IT requires a visa on RP or NP.
