I had a visa interview scheduled for 26th June, but I didn't know about the VFS submission rule for Mumbai (my oversight), and so my interview got cancelled. I have managed to get an emergency appointment for 20th July. My job begins on 10th July.
I have submitted my docs to the VFS for the new interview. I have been working in the US on approved 797 for over a year now. I got a letter from my employer stating that I need to be back at work on the 10th.
My questions:
-What kind of questioning should I expect regarding the "emergency" aspect? -Does it really go against me that I lost the first interview chance because of a stupid mistake like that?
-Please let me know of YOUR experience with emergency H-1 interview. I will hugely appreciate it!
-Any other advice?
