Emergency Appointment dates at US consulates in Imdia

Hi ,
I am working in dallas.I am going to India on July 18. I need to get stamping to come back to US in September 1st week. I paid HDFC fee and went through chennai consulate site. I filled up the forms and checked priority appointment date availability, There are no dates until december. Is there any other procedure to get a date in August? I looked at Mumbai consulate site. But when I login with the information that I already saved, it automatically takes me to chennai site. How can I get to mumbai site.
My main question is How can I get appointment in August.

hi

keep checking the website quite often. you may get lucky sometimes the they show emergency appt for july, august but it stays for very short time. you might get appt in august at the end of this month. don't know if you can switch consulates once you choose one. My guess is (pls confirm this) if you wait for 7 days without taking the appt your records are deleted so then you can switch consulates. Have you checked Kolkatta? a friend of mine got emergency appt in july at Kolkatta
