you can always apply for an Emergency AP by showing legitimate proof and reason for travel....proof can be some medical emergency in family by providing a letter from doctors from home describing the situation and defining the circumstance and your need of presence.

draft a letter to USCIS, attach this doc letter, also attach your 485 reciept notice and your AP reciept notice....fax it to the service center fax number for expedite processing in case of emergency. you will find the fax number in the service center page detials

for emergency AP, you just need to go to local office showing the case of emergency, any documents which shows the emergency. You need photographs, check , the application form you can fill there itself.AP will be issued immediately there itself.

Thanks jaibolenath & pallu2004 for the quick response.

Actually the Emergency AP is required for attending a Marriage of a nearest one so I am not sure whether it would term to be technically a Emergency.

In such a case there is no documents ?
There is no proof as documents to produce ?

Any thoughts as to how to overcome and get approval for an Emergency AP ?

Thanks in Adv,

marriage will not qualify as an emergency....

Requesting Emergency Processing

We normally process the cases in the order in which they are received. Because we want to be fair to our customers, we will only consider taking a case out of its normal order and processing it ahead of other cases if there is a genuine emergency. You may be able to request expedited handling of your case if you can demonstrate that you are or will be subject to one of the following, emergency situations:

• Severe financial loss to a company or individual

A personal emergency situation.

• A Humanitarian situation.

• Your application was submitted by a nonprofit organization in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States.

• Your application is relevant to a Department of Defense or National Interest Situation. In this case, the request for expedited processing must come from an official U.S. government entity and indicate that a delay will be detrimental to our government.

• USCIS made an error in processing your application.

• Your application represents some other compelling interest of the US government.

If your case is already pending with us, submit your request for expedited processing and any required supporting documentation by fax to 802-527-4816. You MUST include supporting documentation to establish that you meet one of the emergency situations described above.
