Emergency AP Question

Hello,

My I485 has been pending for about 25 months and my 3rd AP has been pending for almost 4 months. I can't wait any more and want to go home and visit my family. I wonder

(1) what should I bring to the local office? do I need to present the air tickets?

(2) how about timing? 2 weeks in advance?

(3) anybody got emergency AP without medical reasons?

1. These days most of the local CIS office stopped issuing emergency AP based on AP applied at service center.
2. Some of the local office issue emergency AP if you apply at local office (by paying AP fees there).

Try option 1, if it doesn't work then try option 2.

Actually I tried option 1 at Detroit CIS office, I didn't get AP there in December, 2003.
 
All local center have a defined policy- also available on their websites. Some do same day AP some in 4 weeks. Post your local center name- somebody may be able to describe the actual/latest practises of the center. Else call them or visit them and find out.
