Emergency AP at Connecticut!

Does anyone has applied for an emergency AP at Hartford,connecticut?
If so could you please share the experience with me.

I applied AP for my wife on october 1st 2003. till now no words about it.
Since she has to travel by next month, just wondering what are the chances of getting an eAP in CT?
I heard Boston is pretty strict in giving the eAP.

any thoughts?

I tried twice in hartford offcie but no use , i tried for the first time saying that i need to go india by showing them my tickets but they said no and the next time i brought a letter from our family doc but that didnt worked they said an emergency is like death in your nearest family but if somebody is sick anad u want to go thats not an emergency hmmm thats the way it works i heard newark office in nj are giving emergency aps try their good luck ,i have to postpone my trip twice now an just waiting for my ap to get approved and then travle to india, anyhow my RD : SEP 26 03.

If someone (like Grandfather or Grandmother) is in serious condition, then also they couldn't issue an eAP?

then what is the meaning of the EMERGENCY?
they are saying Grandfather or mother is not close relation??!!


how can they say that only Death is considered as an emergency?
every person in their life can face emergency in any situation..

This toal AP sucks a lot!

I do not like white fatty older woman with glasses.
People said if your officer is that woman, just comeback and go anotherday.
 
Actually i didnt went to the lady u mentioned ,but to the other lady who was treating me well she did her best by faxing the copy of my emergency document from my doctor to the vermont center and she asked me to wait for sometime to get an answer from vermont and after sometime she told me that they didnt think this was an emergency for them ,may be it might be emergency for me but not for them so the lady at the counter said she was sorry that she couldnt help me , but really this emergency proceudre really sucks.

what reason did you give for the emergency?

Also I donno why they have to contact vermont center before issuing an emergency AP.
I was thinking the local USCIS office will issue, without contacting the vermont center?

Any thoughts on this?

1.How long do we have to wait in the USCIS local office to get a reply for emergency AP?
may be 1 to 2 hours at max?

2.Also could you please let me know the list of documents we have to carry or submit for getting emergency AP in CT local office?

Hi,
I went to hartfords office around 6am in the morning but right now its freezing ,but i wanted to be in the first few ppl so i went around 6 am in the morning but if u can go around 7 also u can make it to the ins officer between 9 to 10 in the morning,u got to carry ur recepit of ur I131(advance parole doc) and also download the i131 form and fill the forms and take it with you it will save you a lot of time and emergency letter from india , and its better to take ur i485 receipt and if your i140 is approved take that also it might help.But i tired twice and i was not sucessfull any way good luck to you.

I am planning to try after a week or two.

I dont know that we have to wait outside the INs office for that long!
I know they open at 8 in the morning.
I was thinking to go around 7.45 am there.
looks like there may be along wait !?

one more final question. I dont think we have to pay the Ins fees $110 again for the AP right?
I read somewhere on the thread we have to pay it again.
Also I think we have to carry 2 copies of pictures with us. right?

Hi Love,
I think its better if u take a personal check with you, in the worst case if they ask u for the fee again u can wirte down a check for that amount ,they will accept personal checks and regarding the photos , they have their own photographer so no need to take photographs with you.Good luck .
