Emergency Advanced Parole

hello,

We filed for my wife's advanced parole on July24th. It does not look like it will get processed for a few months more. Spoke to IO who said even after approval they have a backlog in printing and mailing. Plus its cold in Nebraska and NSC does not work well in the winter... No heat, I guess.

For an emergency parole,
1. Where do you file for it? Infopass or NSC?
2. What constitutes an emergency?
3. What documents are needed to prove said emergency?
4. Is the parole document given the same day? And is this emergency AP the same as a Regular AP??

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks.

Didnt work for me

Thank you.
So I have to go take an appt to go to a local Office and then get this done.

Same situation. My AP was approved on Oct 30 in TSC. I still didnt receive it. I had to leave this week. But cant as i have no AP. Hence , i took infopass and quoted the emergency and asked her can i get a temporary parole. She refused telling its already approved so cant do much about it. Came back and called TSC ,he said sending fax with emergency issue also wont help as its approved and mailed. You just need to wait for 30 days. So no travel plans. If its not approved, you have a good chance. If its approved,God help us.best of luck.

Everytime I think it cannot get any worse... it does.

ok its approved and in the mail. How about you take off with out it... ask someone here to check mail for you and fedex it to you wherever you are... and if it doesnt come, claim that you lost it, and get an emergency parole at the US consulate in the country you are in...

I will have to research on that last part about getting replacements for lost paroles.

its a f*****G pity that people have to find ways and means to do normal things like going on vacations and seeing family.

Hate this waiting

Its a long shot. I even thought about it.I havent been lucky with the US consulate near my home there. My wife was stuck there for 4 months becoz of visa delay. After that I made up my mind that ,I or my wife will leave the country with AP.My wife is crying her heart out and cursing me.She needs to be there as there is a wedding in her family.
But the trip is only for a week. So all the mailing can be ruled out.
And after all this ,if we dont get it in mail then may 300+ for another parole. Why is that we are asked to pay for their negligence. Is there no way out of it.

re:

chocolate,

i totally sympathize with your situation. no matter how hard we try and do the right thing, we get caught in some mess of theirs...this whole immg process needs a major overhaul as it is playing with peoples lives

Yeah I was checking on the bit about getting the replacement parole doc. May not be as straight forward as it should be. So i guess its a waiting game to get the parole doc.

Similar situation here about the wife... totally understand where you are coming from. good luck.
