My I-485 was approved on Mar 28th of this year, and today I got an email from USCIS saying something like below:

On July 7, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card.
Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

I am confused now, as it says my application has been approved on July 7th 2005.

You see what this GC process can do to us, it makes us so addictive that we forget what we are. It says " On July 7, .... we ordered you a new card ....". Now you are done, continue to give us blessing.

I got the same email. Don't worry. Your card is on the way for the production. It will be mailed to you soon. I believe you and I will get our cards at the same time. The best way to read that message you got is ignore the words between the commas and read and then you get the real meaning.
Hope this helps and good luck.

The "after approval of your application is just a statement". They had approved your case and because they did they are making and going to mail your card. They did that on July 7th. It DOES not say your case was approved on July 7th.
The misinterpretations of the English language will get many.
