Hello everybody!
I was reading the DV2010 instruction to find out if I made some mistake, so now I have a doubt.
I am Italian native and my wife Polish. We applied both, since she can claim chargeability from Italy as long as we are married.
Does our separate applications could have disqualified us?
The DV2010 FAQ says:
10. MAY A HUSBAND AND A WIFE EACH SUBMIT A SEPARATE ENTRY?
Yes, a husband and a wife may each submit one entry if each meets the eligibility requirements. If either is selected, the other is entitled to derivative status.
Now my doubt is: does she meet the eligibility requirement or not? Eligibility is not same as chargeability. But on the other hand, it would not make sense to allow her to apply and then at the same time, if she does, to deny to apply to me.
What is your opinion?
