This is my current situation as of today -
- Cleared Labor (RIR, EB2 in CA) transferred to Dallas BEC
- Cleared I-140 under Premium processing @ Nebraska Service center.
I am planning to transfer my job from Software engineering to Customer support engg within the same company @ the same location. Obviously my job title changes too. Keeping all these factors in mind, i have the following questions -
i)
Am I eligible to apply for I-485 (AOS) once my priority date is current?
ii)
As my job change is inevitable, assuming there are troubles applying for I-485? What could I possibly do to my my new job title/description/duties before accepting that position?
iii)
As I am yet to take the offer (new job responsibilities), is there any way I can protect my GC status? Can I request to change my new job responsibilities to be close enough to the previous one, though the current position is in Software dept & the new job is Customer support engg. but both are for the same product. Please provide me a guidance?
