After INS started doing electronic fiingerprinting , I had heard that they store the prints and this would result in no more fingerprinting notices after the 15 months expiry.

I had done my forst fingerprinting in May 2004, and had done my biometrics in June 2005.I have not got any re-fingureprinitng notice but I see some people have?
Any ideas?
Thanks for the help!

Fingerprints today

My husband recently got a notice for second fingerprints, but I didn't. We did our first fingerprints and biometrics together.
So he called USCIS today and asked why I didn't get the notice. They said that nowdays they don't always require fingerprints done every 15 month. Somehow they make decision to call you for biometrics or not, in some cases they only call the primary applicant.
According to the officer, it doesn't mean anything. :

I got the same situatio. Only I received the second notice for FP code 1, and my wift didn't. ( we did the frist code 1 FP together in Dec 2004). Looks like only primary applicant receives second FP notice. Please keep posted if you hear anything different.

Thanks

One of my friend also in similar situation. He got his first FP in May 2004 and got Code2 Biometrics in Aug2005. Though the FP expired ( supposed to be in 15 months) he does not got second FP notice yet. It might be normal.

I checked with the lawyer and he mentioned that he would get all notices and he has not got any, seems quite strange , I am afraid bcos I just chnaged my address and one fine day might just get a denial letter saying that I did not respond to FP Notices.

I just posted this in the General I-485 forum.

Due to large backlog of I-485 filings, the center is working hard to minimize applicants having to appear for fingerprinting multiple times. The center schedules only those applications that can be processed within the 15-month validity period of the fingerprint clearance. At present all applicants who filed their applications prior to December 31, 2002 have been scheduled for fingerprinting. Applications filed after December 31, 2002 will be scheduled within the next few months.

Hi All,

1. I got my 1st biometrics oppointment on August 2004
2. Then I got my 2nd biometrics oppointment on July 2005 for CODE 2.

Again today i have recieved a ASC biometrics oppointment for CODE 1...

Did anybody went thru the same? IS this usual practice from INS?

Note: I have applied for my EAD and AP recenly and got AP in less than a month. I am not sure whether this triggered any thing or not.

But my wife did not recived the biometrics oppointment this time....weird..

Only deference i see in this ASC oppointment is ...

Before it shows the Service center name and after CODE number column there is a new column and it says "TCR". Any idea what it is????
