Hello,everyone:
i've been watching this forum for long time and never get myself involved .The reason is my writting skill is not as good as yours, but after these days i am pretty sure nobody gonna laugh at me.So i am posting this question here today and hope someone can help me with that.
I knew a lot people got the fingerprint notice even somebody RD, ND is late than me,but i have not got any notice or message from anywhere.i do not know what to do now? Should i call somewhere, someone or just waiting.
My Data Line:
APP: APRIL,2001
ND: July,2002
Please help,anyone!!!!!

First your english is pretty good to me~~
Second, i guess its STILL normal if u have not received your FP notice since your ND is 2002. Under their estimate, u still have long time to wait
Third, be patient, dont worry about it. When the time your application is processed, u will receive any notices. My ND is 2000, and i just got my FP notice, its been 4 years.

Overall, dont let your GC thing affect too much your life, just do whatever u need to do, eat well, sleep good, and keep a strong heart ;)

I know that this is the last thing you want to hear but according to the INS web site you will have to wait until October 2010 (6 years). My advice to you is that you enjoy your life until this time comes. You will have all the benefits of a permanent resident and you will be able to travel by having a refugee travel document. Some jobs in the government may be inaccessible to you but overall you can do everything you can. Having said that, I want to validate possible frustration you may experience as a result of this status. It makes a difference to have a green card since you will have the security of getting close to become a citizen. The problem is that we have a conservative congress that hates immigrants and wants to close off this country's borders. The immaturity of these folks prevent them from understanding the plight of people like you. There was a bill that was presented by some democrats to fix that problem but it was defeated. Do not feel discouraged. If you can, write to your local representative and senator and tell them about this unfair system. I applied for asylum in 92, was granted asylum in 97, applied for GC in 98, an got my green card in february 2003. Here is the link from the INS

So you have a case number in your check? You can check on the status of your case online and put your case number. Here is the direct link from the iNS web site
http://www.immigration.com/frame/usciscasestatusservonlinefr.html
See what they say.
